Connect a charging station
You connect a charging station over the open OCPP protocol, version 1.6J or 2.0.1. That works with stations of any brand that supports one of those versions; you need no extra hardware.
Add the station in the app
Choose Stations → Add station, give the station a name (for example Driveway) and choose Next. The app now shows the details for your station: the OCPP URL, the encrypted OCPP URL (wss) and the station ID.
Open the station's OCPP settings
You usually find them in the manufacturer's app or web interface, under a name like OCPP, backend or Central System. If you cannot find them, ask your installer.
Enter the OCPP URL
Copy the URL from the app. Use the encrypted URL if your station supports it, for example
wss://ocpp.denkcharge-staging.denkbot.app/ocpp/<station-ID>. If your station does not support an encrypted connection (TLS), use the URL that starts withws://. If your station asks separately for a Charge Point ID or ChargeBox ID, enter only the part up to and including/ocppas the URL and the station ID as the ID.Choose the OCPP version
Choose OCPP 1.6J or 2.0.1, depending on what your station supports, and save. No password is needed.
Wait for the connection
As soon as the station connects, you see it in the app. This can take a few minutes after you save the settings. If nothing happens, check the URL, the station ID and the station's internet connection.
